Ozark Avalon is a congregational church of Wicca incorporated in the State of Missouri. Would you like to see our charter? (600x776 pixels, 125 KB)
As stated in our Articles of Incorporation, Ozark Avalon "is organized exclusively for religious, educational, and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (as amended) to be a church offering worship services and religious education classes, and to do any and all things which may be necessary or proper in connection with these purposes. In furtherance of its permitted purposes, the Corporation may exercise any, all, and every power that a corporation organized under the General Not-For-Profit Corporation Law of Missouri may exercise." Our primary purpose is to provide a safe place for outside worship in an earth-based spiritual context.
Ozark Avalon maintains a tax exemption letter from the US IRS. Our EIN is 43-1839058.
The Ozark Avalon Board of Directors consists of up to eleven OakSpirits and includes President Tom Chapin, Chair, Mike Questor, Secretary Pam and Treasurer Katherine Kitchenwitch and High Priestess/Administrator Rose Wise The Board meets at least four times a year.

The Ozark Avalon Kindred Spirits (OAK Spirits) is the collective name of the members of Ozark Avalon. Membership in this church is activity-based, not fee-based. The minimum qualifications are 13 visits to the land, either to retreats or work days. Additionally, these visits must span each season (read: you must be visit Ozark Avalon at least once in each season). Details may be found in the by-laws. Children who are working on membership are familially called Acorns.
OAK Spirits receive a certificate suitable for framing, the lowest printed price to any retreat, free camping privileges (during non-retreat times) at Ozark Avalon, first call to lead workshops and facilitate ritual, bragging rights, and other goodies.
